For the adventurous traveller, this trek takes you through some of Bhutan's most remote and stunning landscapes. Cross high mountain passes, hike through rhododendron forests, and experience the raw beauty of eastern Bhutan.
Day-wise Itinerary
Arrive and transfer to hotel. Gear check and trek briefing. Overnight in Paro.
Drive to Bumthang. Final preparations. Overnight in Bumthang.
Drive to trailhead. Begin trek (4-5 hours). Camp overnight.
Cross first high pass (3,500m). Descend through forests. Camp at riverside.
Trek through traditional eastern villages. Homestay experience.
Scenic ridge walk with panoramic views. Camp at high altitude.
Descend through rhododendron and pine forests. Camp near river.
Complete trek. Drive to Trashigang. Hot shower and rest. Overnight in Trashigang.
Rest day exploring Trashigang town and Dzong. Laundry and relaxation. Overnight in Trashigang.
Drive back to Paro via Bumthang. Overnight in Paro.
Optional hike to Tiger's Nest Monastery. Farewell dinner. Overnight in Paro.
Transfer to airport for departure.
